Homegrown. Grassroots. Funded by teachers and the Oakridge community, since 2003 it is the largest “Oakridge only” scholarship available to graduating seniors. The OEA Building A Better World Scholarship consists of three $1000 scholarship – Global Awareness, Community Involvement, and Independent Travel, and is open to all graduating Oakridge High School seniors.

2007 Scholarship Award Winners

The 2007 OEA Building A Better World Scholarship winners are:

Congratulations to Jordan, Sara, and D’Licia.  This was the second year in a row that we were able to raise over $2000.  All three of our recipients are ready and raring to go away to college.  Jordan and D’Licia are enrolled at GVSU and will begin studies in the Fall.  Sara Stewart will be our  first ever Oakridge graduate to attend Kalamazoo College.  All three girls are looking forward to a successful collegiate career.   Please check separate links highlighted above to get a better insight into each of these fine young graduates.  Way to go ladies.
