2013 Building A Better World Scholarship Winners
In 2013 the OEA Building A Better World Scholarship crossed a Scholarship milestone. We handed out four $1500 scholarships – thanks in large measure to so many new contributors. This was a great year for donations…large and small. We now have — on board, including the Oakridge Education Association and the Oakridge Parent Association. Decisions, Decisions, Decisions
When you are talking about college and careers and quality of life issues – there’s so much to think about…so many options – colleges (4 year and 2 year), apprenticeships, military, school costs, choice of major, career direction, scholarships, grants and loans…it’s a lot to take on. But “Oh So Necessary.”
Don’t get overwhelmed. Knowledge is power and the only bad decision you can make with all of this stuff is no decision. So take in everything that you can – work towards the future. Be confident. Ask questions. Work hard. You can do this…and you know at the end of the day all of the road blocks that you encounter, they’re really just first world problems.
